Gigs, gosh.

A bit distracted by Glastonbury at the moment, there are some fab sets which I may write about shortly. However, in recent week we've been to live music three times seeing Karin Polwart, a bril five songs, James Yorkston, another bril five songs. These two artists were at the same Folk Festival event. They really were not given enough time, I could have done without at least two of the other five acts but anyway, it was what it was.

The St Magnus Festival was poorly advertised but we did catch on, just in time, and went to the cathedral on two occasions firstly to see the wonderful Kugoni Trio and then to listen to Palisander, a recorder group. Palisander were technically excellent and Louise really enjoyed it. Kugoni were in a different league for me though.

So, anyway, this is album of the week, a far cry from Glasto.
